Deleting your Glimpse account and data

Last updated: 28 September 2026

The fastest way is inside the Glimpse app. The email route below exists for the cases where that is no longer possible.

1. In the app (the normal way)

Open the menu at the top right of the home screen, choose Edit profile and scroll to the bottom of that screen: Delete account is the last entry there. After you confirm, your account and the associated data are deleted right away.

You need an internet connection for this. Without one the app deletes nothing at all and says so, rather than signing you out of an account that still exists on our servers. Simply try again once you are back online.

2. By email, if you can no longer use the app

If you have already uninstalled Glimpse, no longer have access to your device, or your account is suspended, send us your username and we will delete the account for you:

📧 feedback.glimpse@gmail.com

We delete the account as soon as we can, and at the latest within one month of your request.

Note: please do not send any personal data other than your username. It is normally enough to identify your account, and we do not want more than we need. If several accounts carry the same username or we are in doubt, we will ask you for one detail only you know, such as your profile photo or roughly when you signed up.

What gets deleted

Your profile with username, gender and gender preference, your profile photo, your date of birth and your push notification token.

Your interactions (likes, blocks, matches) are anonymised: they are reassigned to a random identifier with no link to you and kept for statistics only.

One thing is kept: if an age below 18 was declared on a device, or if the account was suspended for breaching the Terms of Use, we retain a pseudonymous marker for it (a hashed device identifier plus a "blocked" or "suspended" flag, without a date of birth) so the 18+ requirement and the suspension cannot be bypassed by reinstalling. The details are in the Privacy Policy.

Glimpse-Konto und Daten löschen

Zuletzt aktualisiert: 28. September 2026

Was gelöscht wird
