Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE) Policy

Last updated: 14 September 2026

1. Prohibition

Glimpse has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and child sexual abuse material (CSAM). Such content and behaviour are strictly prohibited under our Terms of Use and are illegal. This includes, among other things:

  • Grooming
  • Sextortion
  • Child trafficking for the purpose of sexual exploitation
  • Any other sexual exploitation of minors

A minor is any person under the age of 18.

2. Handling of Images

Profile photos are reviewed by hand: every new or changed profile photo is reviewed by a person within three days of upload. We do not currently use automated detection. Every report is reviewed, and content or accounts that breach our rules are removed or suspended within 24 hours of us becoming aware of the report. Automated and scalable detection mechanisms will be added as the number of users makes them necessary.

3. Appropriate Action

As soon as we become aware of CSAM within the app, we immediately:

  • Remove the content
  • Suspend the relevant accounts
  • Act in accordance with our published policies and applicable laws

Where there is reasonable suspicion, we report incidents to the appropriate authorities.

4. In-App Reporting Mechanism

Users can report concerns directly within the app without having to leave it, through an in-app reporting feature and a support email address. Every report is reviewed and acted on within the time limit stated in section 2.

5. Alignment with Standards

This policy is aligned with the Tech Coalition Child Safety Standards and globally recognised child protection standards.

6. Point of Contact

Questions regarding this policy and the prevention of CSAM may be directed to our designated point of contact at feedback.glimpse@gmail.com. This address also receives requests from authorities and child-safety organisations.
